PSKY Resolves Merger Challenges with States, WGA; WBD Merger Proceeds

Paramount Skydance Corporation resolved a lawsuit enjoining its merger with Warner Bros. Discovery through a Consent Decree with 12 states on September 21, 2026, entered by the U.S. District Court on September 30, 2026. This decree allows the WBD Merger to proceed and includes commitments for $300 million annual production spend for five years, $9.5 million annual workforce training, and $5 million annual independent film fund contributions.
Separately, the company settled with the Writers Guild of America on September 21, 2026, agreeing to a $17.5 million contribution to the Writers’ Guild-Industry Health Fund and up to $6.0 million for WGA's attorneys' fees.
