AES Corporation announced the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio approved its merger with Horizon Parent, L.P. on September 17, 2026. The merger agreement, initially entered on March 1, 2026, involves Horizon Merger Sub, Inc. merging into AES. This PUCO approval is a condition to closing, which remains subject to other regulatory and customary conditions.
