AES: Bernerd Da Santos Departs as Clean Energy Chairman, Joins Fluence Energy

Effective September 14, 2026, Bernerd Da Santos departed from his roles as Chairman of the AES Clean Energy Board and Senior Strategic Advisor to the President of The AES Corporation. Mr. Da Santos accepted a position as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Fluence Energy, Inc. AES entered into a Separation Agreement providing Mr.
Da Santos with involuntary severance pay, including his annualized base salary and target bonus for fiscal year 2026, plus a pro-rata bonus for fiscal year 2026.
